CELEBRATE WORLD CALLIGRAPHY DAY WITH MANUSCRIPT PEN COMPANY ON THE 14TH AUGUST 2019!
After the success of the inaugural World Calligraphy Day , it's back for another year. Join Manuscript Pen Company to celebrate the art of calligraphy, hand lettering, or any other way or putting pen (or pencil) to paper! #SaySomethingSpecial this year and write a special message, letter or note in honour of the children at Birmingham Children's Hospital!
SAY SOMETHING SPECIAL
As part of World Calligraphy Day, Manuscript Pen Company is partnering with Birmingham Children's Hospital for the 2nd year on the 'Say Something Special' campaign.
The campaign encourages people to handwrite a special letter, message or create an illustration to send to the children at Birmingham Children's Hospital. You can get involved by sending letters to Say Something Special c/o Small Man Media, 2nd Floor, 6 Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton, WV1 4BL.
Last year we received over 100 letters and notes from all over the world! These varied from beautiful calligraphic notes, to handwritten stories from celebrities, calligraphers and artists, schools, children and adults!
Each individual letter will be forwarded on to the Birmingham Children's Hospital alongside some Manuscript product for the hospital to use for their art classes and play sessions.

WORLD CALLIGRAPHY DAY EVENTS

The Pen Museum, Birmingham will be opening its doors for a World Calligraphy Day celebration! Join a host of local calligraphers as they celebrate the art of calligraphy and hand lettering! Practice and improve your skills with the help of the experts and enjoy a day learning about the rich history of the Birmingham Pen trade! The Scribbler Collective will also be hosting a World Calligraphy Day celebration in Singapore! Talented calligraphers from Singapore and Australia will be sharing their skills and love for the art of calligraphy!
